Log-files on the visit of our website
Each time you visit our website or download a file log-files, such as IP address, date and time, browsed web page, name of downloaded file, browser version in use, operating system software and the previous website you visited, will be temporarily stored. These data will only be analysed for statistic purposes and to improve our offer. They do not allow any conclusion as to your identity and are deleted subsequently.
Cookies are small text files which are sent from our webserver to your browser and stored on the hard drive of your computer. They are destined to identify your computer at your next visit of our websites automatically and to facilitate your navigation.
We use such so called ID-Cookies also to recognize your computer on other websites that are members of the display advertising network of Google by means of the data logged (visit of our website, latest Google search enquiry including date and time, preferred used language, type of browser, operating system) in order to show you advertisements based on your presumed interests. You may view, delete or add the categories according to which interest-based ads are presented within the Google display network in Google’s Ads Preferences Manager.
You may decide yourself whether or under which conditions cookies are stored on your computer by adjusting the security settings of your browser in which you may allow your browser to accept cookies only on enquiry or not at all or by determining that cookies will be deleted when closing your browser. However it might result in limited operationality of our website if you choose not to accept any cookies.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA. Yet in the event of activation of IP-anonymisation on this website, within the EU member states or within other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area your IP address will be shortened by Google prior to transmission. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transmitted to a server in the USA and will be shortened there.
Moreover you may refuse the collection and use of the data referring to your use of our website (incl. your IP address) generated by Google through the cookie by downloading and installing the browser-plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en .
Social plugins from Facebook, Google+, and Twitter using the “2-click solution”
On our website, we use so-called social plugins (“plugins”) provided by the social networks Facebook, Google+, and the microblogging service Twitter. The companies Facebook Inc., Google Inc., and Twitter Inc. (“providers”) offer these services.
Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. Californian Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). An overview of Facebook’s plugins and how they look like is provided here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins
Google+ is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). An overview of Google’s plugins and how they look like is provided here: https://developers.google.com/+/web/
Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. An overview of the Twitter buttons and how they look like is provided here:https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons
To enhance the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are linked via the so-called “2-click solution” to the page. This linking guarantees that when calling up a page of our website containing such plugins, a connection to the Facebook, Google+ and Twitter servers is not yet established. It is only once you activate the plugins and thereby grant your approval for the transmission of data that your browser establishes a direct connection to the Google+, Facebook or Twitter servers. The contents of the respective plugin are then transmitted directly to your browser and linked to the page by the appropriate provider. By linking the plugin, the providers obtain the information that your browser has called up the appropriate page of our website, even if you do not have a corresponding profile with the provider or are currently not logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly onto a server of the respective provider in the USA and stored there. If you are logged into one of the social networks, the providers are immediately able to correlate the visit to our website with your profile on the social network. If you interact with the plugins, e.g. by clicking the “Like”, the “+1”, or “Twitter” button, the relevant information is also immediately transmitted directly to one of the providers’ servers and stored there. The information is also published in the social network or your Twitter account and shown to your contacts there. To learn more about the purpose and extent of data collection by the providers as well as your relevant rights and setting options to protect your privacy, please refer to the providers’ data protection information.
